I use Solaris and OpenSolaris at home, for fun… and because it is stable ! I have gathered the following tips

• How to install Solaris/OpenSolaris on x86 or Sparc, how to update from u4 to u5
• Detecting hardware, drivers, adding a new hard disk and other hardware issues
• Boot loader, partitioning, file system, mounting
• Other system administration tips such as SMF, applications
